Congratulations Winners: Ready to Eat / Risky Business and Smithwick we will contact you soon to be receiving your T-shirts and hats

girls After years of putting on the Cheeseburger Beach Party we have almost got it down to a science. We clean the beach before and after the party so we can preserve this beautiful spot…..we have a strong concern with cleanness and safety so…we do not allow glasses on the beach. We have 3-4 people constantly cleaning the beach as the party goes on and emptying and filling trash bags. After the party everything is loaded on to the pontoon boat and taken to the dump. A couple of days after the party we start preparing for the next year. We start by having a meeting between the volunteers and reviewing any problem areas that they experienced. After reviewing their ideas and suggestions we make a note on our master list of what changes we should make to improve the party for the coming year.

The yearly input that we receive from the crew makes our job much easier when we being to prepare for the upcoming years party. On the master list we classify everything that is need for the party as either storable goods or perishables goods. Some of the perishables goods are the vegetables, frozen goods, cheese, ice, and bread. All of the other things that are required to make a successful party to name a few, such as charcoal, paper towel’s, plates, cooking utensil’s, cooking oil, grills, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, mixers, and most importantly liquor. All of this can be stored for a period of time.  Patricia and I  do most of the coordination and transportation.

The party is successful because the volunteers return year after year and do a superb job (see pictures here) . We will not go into all of the details but believe me if it were not for all of the workers helping deliver everything to Fiddle Cay and the servers and cookers preparing the food and drinks this party would not be possible. They do a superb job cooking and serving:1200 cheeseburgers,300 hotdogs,150 pounds of fries,100 gallons of Run punch, 100 gallons of margaritas.

I hope to continue this great event and continue to make improvements each year. I am growing older but I still feel up to the challenge. I still act like a child. My wife says that she does not need children as she married one. I won’t dispute her thinking.

The cost of the party has grown form a couple of hundred dollars’s when we started to more than 10.000 dollars this year. We have so many new friends and new people showing up every year to support the party along with the Bahamas Department of Tourism, many local busines in GTC, the Regatta Committee, Bristol Cellars Wine and Spirits and the help from other people this party will still go on….

The annual Fiddle Cay Beach Party T-shirts which my wife designs each year with a fun and colorful cartoon theme on the front and the Stranded Naked logo on the back helps offset the growing cost of the party. The money collected from donations, shirt sales and bar tips is used to make improvement to the party and buy more prizes and giveaways for the people attending.
